The Regulatory Affairs Department (“RAD”) plays an essential role in providing advisory and facilitation services in regulatory, intellectual property (IP), biosafety and immigration matters to BioNexus companies and in matters relating to regulatory engagement for potential clients and investors. The RAD also carries out advocacy and regulatory review initiatives under the National Biotechnology Policy (“NBP”) towards fulfilling the aim of creating a conducive and progressive regulatory framework for the development of biotechnology in Malaysia (Thrust 7, NBP).
RAD works closely with regulators and related organisations on various areas including Biosafety, Access Benefits Sharing, International Accreditation, Pharmaceutical Regulations and IP to fulfil the objectives outlined in the NBP and to bridge the gaps in preparation for Phase 3 of the NBP.

Apart from that, Bioeconomy Corporation also continuously improve industry and public’s knowledge on tax incentives by organising awareness programme such as seminars, exhibition and workshops.
