YBhg Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun, a Malaysian, was appointed by the Honourable Prime Minister as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation Sdn Bhd on 24 July 2020.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Hons) (London) before being admitted as a barrister at the Lincoln’s Inn, London and called to the English Bar. YBhg Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun was subsequently admitted and enrolled as an advocate of the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak.
YBhg Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun was formerly the Sabah State Assemblyman for N30 Karanaan, Sabah from 2004 until the Assembly was dissolved in July 2020. He is also the Trustee for Tabung Pendidikan 1 Billion. YBhg Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun formerly held the posts of Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment of Sabah (2006 – 2018) and Sabah Youth and Sports Minister (2004 – 2006) as well as several other prominent posts in the Sabah Civil Service. Among his previous notable experience include directorship in the Board of Directors of Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad, Sabah Development Bank Berhad and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM); member of Majlis Perundingan Ekonomi Negara Kedua and Yayasan Salam.
YBhg Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun was conferred the order of Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah in 2013, which carries the title Datuk Seri Panglima.
