YBhg Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah


YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, a Malaysian, was appointed to the Board of Bioeconomy Corporation on 25 August 2014.
He holds a Masters in Surgery and Medical doctorate degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and joined the civil service as a medical officer in August 1988. He went on to specialise in endocrine surgery and trained in various universities in Adelaide and Sydney, Australia.
YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has been the Director-General of the Ministry of Health since 1 March 2013. Prior to that, he was the Deputy Director General of Health (Medical); a post he held since 28 January 2008.
Apart from his exemplary leadership in administration, he is also a well-trained surgeon. He is the head and senior consultant breast and endocrine surgery in Putrajaya Hospital.
He has presented in many local and international conferences, published extensively in local and international journals as well as written many textbook chapters on endocrine surgery. His keen interest is in breast and endocrine cancers and provides leadership for different innovative health outreach learning and programs for all of Malaysia.
