The Technology Management and Innovation Division was established as part of the National Biotechnology Policy to spearhead the creation and commercialisation of new knowledge to spur long-term, knowledge-based biotechnology capabilities.
Value Added Services
TMI is also currently involved in value added services to assist companies in their commercial efforts. Services offered are:
- Business/technology matching: Facilitating the linking of companies with potential technologies/products for adoption
- Product development: Realising company’s interest to develop new products or improve existing ones
- Market Peneration: Linking companies with potential distributors and producers
- Facilitation of negotiations and funding applications: Proposes situations that will benefit all parties involved in negotiations and assists companies in applying for fundings from various sources
