The world’s leading trade fair for process industry, ACHEMA 2015 will take place from 15-19 June 2015 at Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Kuala Lumpur, 11 February 2015 – The door of Achema 2015 will open on 15 to 19 June 2015 at Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The pre-event presentation and press conference was held today at Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The guests who attended the event today were Y.Bhg. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Nazlee Kamal, CEO of Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation (BiotechCorp); Prof. Dr. Kurt Wagemann, Executive Director of DECHEMA e.V. from Germany; Dr Wolfram Spelten, Counsellor for Economic, Commercial and Environmental Affairs, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany; and Mr Muhtar Hashim, Deputy Chairman of the Chemical Council Industries of Malaysia (CICM).

ACHEMA that is held every three years is the world forum for chemical engineering and process industry. Over 3,100 exhibitors have already registered to date but ACHEMA 2015 is expected to attract around 3,800 exhibitors from over 50 countries with 170,000 participants from more than 100 different countries.

The 3 focus themes that touch the pulse of the process industry this year are BiobasedWorld, Innovative Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and Industrial Water Management. The hot topics of the world forum of the process industry are energy efficiency, materials and materials testing, and safety technology.

ACHEMA reflects the overall trends in its core sectors like machinery, plant engineering and the chemical industry which despite a turbulent international business environment. It is an innovations’ platform and technology summit for industry players to exchange ideas and experience. It also serve as a trend-setting meeting point where all the latest information about the industry can be obtained during the event. To promote the exchange of views between users and suppliers, the organisers have devised a range of new formats: the ACHEMA PRAXISforums, addressing topics such as Single-Use Technologies, Pharmaceutical Production, Components and Equipment, Mixing and Separation, Safety and Plant Control.
A “Collaboration Proposal” between DECHEMA e.V. and Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation was exchanged by representatives from both parties today during the presentation. Y.Bhg. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Nazlee Kamal acted on behalf of BiotechCorp and Prof. Dr. Kurt Wagemann represented DECHEMA e.V. on the exchange.

The aim of the collaboration is to work together to support the bioeconomy business and research communities in Malaysia and Germany. The collaboration will also further flourish the industry and benefit the industry players.
