Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation (BiotechCorp), Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) are co-organizing BioBorneo 2014 in Kuching. The event will be held from 5 – 7 May 2014 (Monday to Wednesday) at Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Hall, UNIMAS, Kota Samarahan, Sarawak.

This event is also supported by Ministry of Modernization of Agriculture, Sarawak (MOMA) and Department of Agriculture, Sarawak. This year’s event will carry the theme “Sustaining the Bioeconomy Community”.

BioBorneo 2014 will comprise of a conference of which specialised panelists who are experts in their field will discuss potential, opportunities, and biotechnology industries development in Borneo and the regional. The scope of the conference also includes research advancement, R&D advancement in biotechnology and commercialisation potential for biotechnology innovation.

Meanwhile, the BioBorneo 2014 exhibition will bring in 80 exhibitors from government agencies, local higher public/private institutions, research institutions, and biotechnology related industries.
