The Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (Bioeconomy Corporation), formerly known as Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation Sdn Bhd, is the lead development agency for the bio-based industry in Malaysia under the purview of Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). Bioeconomy Corporation is responsible for the implementation of Bioeconomy Malaysia initiative and acts as a central contact point in providing support, facilitation and advisory services for bio-based companies in Malaysia.

To maximise Bioeconomy’s growth potential and identify new bio-based projects as well as business opportunities, we will be organising Bioeconomy Day in Kuala Lumpur,which will be launched by YB Datuk Seri Panglima Madius Tangau, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation. During the event, we will highlight programmes and initiatives available under Bioeconomy Corporation – Bioeconomy Transformation Programme (BTP), Bioeconomy Community Development Programme (BCDP), BioNexus Status, Technology Support Programmes, Facilitation from Industry Support,and Bio-based Business Opportunities.

A forum on the development of a sustainable Bioeconomy ecosystem in Malaysia, sharing of success stories on bio-based companies that have been facilitated by Bioeconomy Corporation as well as industry engagement and business matching are also part of the programme.

You are invited to send senior representatives of your organisation as there will be sub-group breakout during the afternoon session,where we will discuss and share commercial and/or R&D opportunities / bio-based projects that could be potentially incorporated in our programmes,as well as receive facilitation from our industry support for funding, regulatory, human capital development and market access.
