Bioeconomy Academy of Bioeconomy Corporation (formerly known as BiotechCorp) and UMP via its subsidiary, UMP Advanced Education Sdn Bhd (UAE) worked together to design a customised module and syllabus to develop MBA with Specialisation Elective Course in BioEconomy. This MBA Bioeconomy’s first intake was in February 2016 and the next intake will be in September.

The duration of the programme is about 20 months with the total credit of 45. The classes will be held at Level 16, Menara Atlan and has already received the Perakuan Akreditasi from the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).

The programme integrates theory, real-world practice and personal experience to develop leaders who address complex problem, both systematically and creatively to improve business and management practice. The programme inculcates dynamic learning experience through insightful questioning, collaborative projects and interactions with industry panel. It will also involve lecture, case study, projects and seminar.

Bioeconomy Corporation aims to enhance the competencies of the national biotechnology workforce through executive educational programmes in support of the third phase of National Biotechnology Policy (NBP). The Company believes that relevant biotechnology educational programmes will assist to accelerate biotechnology companies into commercialisation phase by providing the workforce with a better understanding in the business aspect of biotechnology industry.

Under the Programmes, the students will be enrolled as UMP students which entitle them to conferment of academic certificate at UMP’s convocation as well as being eligible to be registered as UMP’s alumni.
