Since 2010, BiotechCorp has successfully nurtured and facilitated a number of High Impact projects, which are defined as foreign or domestic investments in high technology, high value-added capital and knowledge-intensive projects.
One of the notable projects is Biocon Ltd which has established its R&D and production facility for the production of insulin and analogues, drug products and drug delivery devices. This project is located at Bio-XCell park in Iskandar, Johor within a 37.3 acres plot. Biocon’s facility has been operational since Q4 2014 and will soon commence trial production. To date, the company has employed 268 staff, out of which 210 employees were sent to India for training at Biocon’s Bangalore facility.
