YBhg Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan

He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MB BCh) from the Royal College of Physician, Dublin and Master of Medicine (M. MED) from Universiti Sains Malaysia. YBhg Datuk Muhammad Radzi is also a Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP), United Kingdom, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCP Edin), United Kingdom, and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia.

YBhg Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan joined the civil service as a medical officer in March 1992 and is now a medical consultant and gastroenterologist. He was appointed as the Royal Physician for the Sultan of Kedah from 2011 to 2016.

YBhg Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan is currently the Director-General of the Ministry of Health (MOH), a post held since 21 April 2023 after undertaken the role of the Deputy Director-General of Health (Research and Technical Support) of MOH from 2022 to 2023.

He is also the Chairman of the National Specialist Register Gastroenterology and Hepatology, MOH, and Expert Committee of the Advice Reboard for the National Clinical Research Centre (Institute for Clinical Research).
