YBhg Datuk Seri Haji Hasnol Zam Zam Haji Ahmad was appointed to the Board on 11 June 2025.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Utah, United States of America, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) and a Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, United States of America.
With 33 years of distinguished service in the Malaysian civil service, YBhg Datuk Seri Hj. Hasnol has held numerous senior leadership positions. Prior to his current role at MOSTI, he served as the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Unity, Ministry of Works and Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs. In 2022, he was appointed as the State Secretary of Perlis.
Between 2014 and 2019, he assumed various senior management roles across key ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Ministry of Health, and the Prime Minister’s Department.
He currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).
