YBhg Datuk Seri Isham Ishak was appointed to the Board on 22 November 2024.
He brings with him 30 years of civil service experience across various public sectors. Prior to his appointment at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS), YBhg Datuk Seri Isham served as Secretary-General at several key ministries, including the Ministry of Defence Malaysia (MINDEF), the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), the Ministry of Transport Malaysia (MOT), and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC).
He also served as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SME Corporation Malaysia from 2014 to 2016. Earlier in his career, YBhg Datuk Seri Isham was the Advisory Minister (Economics) at MITI’s Office in Washington DC from 2006 to 2011. He also served as Special Officer to Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the Fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia, and as Senior Private Secretary to YB Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz, Minister of MITI.
YBhg Datuk Seri Isham Ishak has been commissioned as an Honorary Brigadier General of the Malaysia Territorial Army and is currently the Secretary-General of MAFS.
