Fadzrin Azwar Abdul Aziz

Fadzrin Azwar Abdul Aziz is the Vice President for Strategic Ventures Department. Currently he is leading the Biotechnology and Bio-based Industry Talent which focuses in developing local talents to support the demand for expertise in biotechnology and bio-based industry. This is in tandem with the National Biotechnology Policy 2.0, under Staretegic Thrust 2 which is to develop local talents required by the industry and develop local experts to support the growing biotechnology industry in Malaysia.

Prior to this, he was the Head of Monitoring & Compliance Department which provided advice and guidance to the businesses on necessary actions to achieve BioNexus Status compliance, addressing any issues arising from monitoring reports. In addition, he was also responsible for monitoring and disbursement of Biotechnology Commercialization Grant/ Loan, SUPERB grant and High Impact Project Funds.

His previous stints include KPMG, Perbadanan Nasional Berhad and Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDeC).

Fadzrin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from the Manchester Metropolitan University, United Kingdom.
