Mohd Khairul Fidzal Abdul Razak is a distinguished bioeconomy and biotechnology industry leader with 30 years of experience in strategic policy implementation, investment facilitation, ecosystem development, and institutional transformation. He has played a key role in advancing Malaysia’s bioeconomy agenda under the National Biotechnology Policy 2.0, driving industry growth across agricultural biotechnology, healthcare and wellbeing, and industrial biotechnology.
Under his leadership, the biotechnology sector contributed RM50 billion, equivalent to 3% of Malaysia’s GDP in 2024, created more than 17,000 high-skilled biotech jobs nationwide, and delivered Malaysia’s first biotechnology unicorn under the National Biotechnology Policy 2.0 agenda. He has also spearheaded national initiatives in talent development, entrepreneurship, international market expansion, and AI-driven bioeconomy transformation.
His career spans leadership roles at Bioeconomy Corporation, MOSTI, the Prime Minister’s Office, MIGHT, MYKOR, and the banking sector, combining public policy, industry development, and commercial expertise.
